Coins in the Fountain by Judith Works

Non-fiction // Memoir // Cover, Typesetting, eBook

Coins in the Fountain is full of memories of the author's time in Rome. A supporter of the arts and creative herself, we knew when we made the cover that we wanted to use humanist and creative themes like water color. That meant when we came to the eBook interior we wanted to maintain that feel as well and we did so by strategically utilizing images we used on the print interior at key places–specifically the title page and tops of chapters–to keep the atmosphere and file size down.

Savage Malice by Kit Karson

Fiction // Murder Mystery // Cover, Typesetting, eBook

Savage Malice is the fifth installment of Kit Karson’s The Anderson Chronicles. As such, the eBook needed to not only carry the atmosphere and feel of the cover, or just work well across as many ereaders as possible It also needed to match the structure and style of the other installments. We did this by duplicating and cross checking with CSS and HTML from previous books in the series, making sure readers could move from one story into another without wondering why the new eBook functioned differently.
